THE FIRST MID-YEAR REPORT 2021. ACCOUNTABILITY.
Thank you, Father. I pray that this report will bless and help someone to change his or her life from nothing to something. Amen.
I am Damilola Tobi Adetayo. A creative graphic designer and brand builder.
The first six months of 2021 are gone and it will never come back again. We all know what the year 2020 looked like. The year of sudden change was a world shift for everyone. The pandemic changed a lot of things but I am sure if you are reading this report now you’re a survivor of the pandemic.
This is going to be the first mid-year report that I have ever written in my life and I promise to make this happen again at the end of the year 2021 and in upcoming years as well.
I wrote a quote which says that “You can never be a better version of yourself if you can not work on yourself.” Yes, I said that. There are so many ways you can work on yourself.
Report One: I have been able to discover how I can work on myself in some parts of my life and career. Before starting the year 2021, I have a sudden change of mind to be accountable for everything I do and I need to grow up spiritually. I took the bold step and applied for a three-month mentorship program which I knew was going to be stressful and not easy for me. It went well and I graduated from the school of mentorship (S.O.M). Ask me for more details about the school group name in the comment box if you are interested in joining. It is free.
I spent my three months reading and studying Romans, Philippians, and the rest. Within the three months, it was an eye-opener for me. Discovery channel and tunnel of breakthrough.
It was such a great experience and turn around but I can not include that in this report. It is a long story.
Report Two: After the three months mentorship at S.O.M, I received another invitation to join a three months premium mentorship program strictly for business owners or those who are interested in starting a new business. I knew that it was going to be a stressful program just like the first three months. I paid for the program and I am still attending the class now.
If you want to grow physically, I realized that you need to take out time to work on yourself daily. It’s likely that your current job doesn’t enable you to do much for yourself or that it consumes a large portion of your day. Wake up very early and work on yourself. Purchase a course and attend.
Report Three: The first six months have been a month of solving several business problems from helping business owners recover their Facebook account from hackers, Facebook ads manager error fixing, and the rest.
I noticed that it is better to buy a course or program than to download it through the backdoor.
You might want to ask me, Damilola, which one is the backdoor again. Yes, backdoor.
Over the years whenever I need to learn or I need anything online immediately I realized that the programme needs payment especially in foreign currencies such as the dollar, I will run 🏃 away. I will rather look for a website that offers it free or where I can download it without paying.
Is it good or bad? I don’t know.
I stopped doing that this year. I realized that I ended up downloading 10GB or 20GB files without watching or implementing 50% of what is inside the folder.
I used my money to purchase a paid course from the original author or instructor and I was consistent with it to some extent. It allowed me to be invited into a premium group as well which I can not do with the backdoor logic.
Remember, I am not submitting this report here to judge me or insult me. I am sharing this information to help a soul recover from his or her sleeping dream.
You need to hold yourself accountable for everything you do. Failure to do so will lead to failure to grow physically.
Find someone that is very strict and serious to start with. Report to that person about your growth and development. Share your main goal with him or her and you will realize that you are currently developing yourself. Holding yourself accountable might be difficult in the first place, but try by reporting to someone first.
Report Four: I am a real latecomer whenever it comes to Sunday school due to my late sleeping time. Over the last 6 months, I have been able to adjust and change from a latecomer to a newcomer in the Sunday school class.
Don’t be surprised in the next 181 days in the year 2021 and upcoming year’s if God wants, You might send me a message at 9 P.M. and then fail to respond until 6 A.M.
In the book of Ecclesiastes 5:12 – “People who work hard sleep well, whether they eat little or much. But the rich seldom get a good night’s sleep.” NLT.
Proverbs 3:24 – “When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.” KJV.
Proverbs 20:13 – “Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread.” – KJV.
Take note: Learn to sleep so you can be healthy and fit during the day, also learn not to sleep too much so you don’t become poor.
This is the end of my report. I can not write everything here but I have to make it brief and short.
Father, help my reader to learn from my story, let him or her recover from any procrastination and start growing physically and spiritually. Amen.
